Reservation information we collect

When you start checkout, Latchcrate collects the package, rental dates, name, email, phone number, delivery and pickup addresses, access notes, and your acceptance of the current rental terms. We use this information to check service area and inventory, manage delivery and pickup, provide support, prevent fraud, resolve disputes, and maintain business records.

Payments through Stripe

Stripe is our payment processor. We send Stripe the package price, your email address, and an internal reservation identifier. You enter card and billing details directly on Stripe’s hosted checkout. This site does not receive or store full card numbers or card security codes. Stripe processes information under its own privacy policy.

Cloudflare hosting and storage

Cloudflare hosts and protects the site and stores reservation records in a protected database. Cloudflare may process technical information needed to deliver and secure the service, including IP address, browser details, requested pages, and security events.

Retention and disclosure

We retain reservation and transaction records only as long as reasonably needed to fulfill the rental, provide support, resolve disputes, meet legal and accounting obligations, and protect the service. We do not sell personal information. We disclose it only to service providers supporting the reservation, when required by law, or to protect customers, Latchcrate, or others.

No advertising trackers

Latchcrate does not use advertising pixels, third-party analytics, or cross-site tracking cookies on this site. Stripe may use cookies or similar technology on its hosted checkout for payment and fraud prevention.

Your choices

To ask about, correct, or request deletion of reservation information, email [email protected]. Some records may need to be retained for legal, accounting, fraud-prevention, or dispute-resolution purposes.
